Teachers can independently lead learning experiences about the World Heritage Site and the Mantua and Sabbioneta site. In this section, we highlight some useful tools.
WORLD HERITAGE IN SCHOOL

The first website created specifically to learn about UNESCO sites starting from the Outstanding Universal Declaration. Created by the Beni Italiani World Heritage Association, it allows you to approach the study of the sites in the classroom (link)

To help teachers learn more about World Heritage topics, we have translated a document produced by the World Heritage Centre into English. The publication dates back to 2008 but remains an important resource today.
HERITAGE CARTOONS

The World Heritage Centre has produced a series of short animated episodes (The Adventures of Patrimonito), useful for teaching children the importance of safeguarding World Heritage properties.
Patrimonito is a character invented by a group of Spanish students in 1995, during an international workshop organized by UNESCO. Since then, it has been adopted as the small mascot of the World Heritage Education Programme. The episodes, based on storyboards written by young people from different countries, can be downloaded from the official page of the World Heritage Centre: https://whc.unesco.org/en/patrimonito/
