The Library website offers several options to improve readability (contrast, text size, etc.). In the left-hand menu of the website, in the "PROJECTS" section, you'll find the "LIBRARY WITHOUT BARRIERS" page, with all the information about the services offered to enhance the accessibility of the library's content.


HOW TO GET THERE

Public Transport

From Piazza Sordello (A) it is possible to take the APAM lines: CC / Te Shuttle Service
From the train station (B) you can take the APAM lines: CC /8 /5

All APAM buses are equipped with a lift and, for urban routes, a voice announcement service for bus stops. Currently, for adequate assistance, Reporting of use of the service is required, within two working days before use.

By car

There are several parking areas near the Baratta Library, including reserved parking spaces (shown on the map).

Entrance to the building

The main entrance is on Corso Garibaldi and has three steps with a handrail on the left. Turning onto Via Gradaro, there is a second level entrance (next to two parking spaces reserved for disabled parking permit holders), which can be accessed by ringing the bell. To exit, however, you must ask library staff to open the gate.

Interior spaces of the building

The library's main areas are located on the ground floor, where the lending desk, which may be too high for some users, and several study stations are located. A study room is located on the upper floor, also accessible by elevator.

To use the materials on display, you must request assistance from the staff on site.

The large internal courtyard, where various events are held, is completely flat and accessible thanks to the paved side and central paths.

Toilets

Accessible toilets are available (in accordance with regulations).

Additional services

The Baratta Library offers a range of services to ensure its contents are accessible to the blind and visually impaired. The following services are available on the ground floor:

1) Visually impaired workstation, in the newspaper room on the ground floor, equipped with: table-top monochrome video magnifier, portable color video magnifier (on request).

2) Alternative reading section, on the ground floor, equipped with: large-print books; audiobooks.
