Association of Italian World Heritage Sites

THE'Association of Italian World Heritage Sites It brings together most of the managing bodies of the Italian sites included in the World Heritage List. It aims to plan, coordinate, and implement activities aimed at protecting and enhancing the cultural and natural heritage represented by UNESCO properties, with the goal of overcoming the individuality of the actions implemented by individual sites. Mantua and Sabbioneta, registered since 2009, actively participate in the coordination meetings of the Board of Directors and of the Technical Scientific Committeewww.patrimoniomondiale.it

Educating about World Heritage

With the collaboration of the Mantua representatives, in 2016 the Association published the first portal for schools dedicated to Italian websites.

Meeting of European World Heritage Associations

For several years now, a process of dialogue has been underway with other World Heritage associations in Europe.
The meetings aim to share information and experiences to raise awareness of world heritage in Europe, support its protection and conservation, and discuss common issues.
