HOW TO GET THERE
Public Transport:
From the train station (B) you can take the APAM lines: CC / 4C / 4T / 8. Once you reach Piazza Sordello (A), the building is approximately a 5-minute walk away.
All APAM buses are equipped with a lifting platform and, for urban routes, a voice announcement service for bus stops. Currently, for adequate assistance, requested the sreporting of service usage, within two working days before use.

By car:
The building is located in a restricted traffic zone. Holders of disabled passes issued by other municipalities can request access by filling out the form at the link. ZTL Disabled Pass Reservation and send it to infomulte@comune.mantova.it

VIRGILIO MUSEUM
Ticket office:
The ticket office is located in Piazza Erbe, at number 3.
Access is flat.

Inside there is space to move easily even with a wheelchair.
The reception desk has a lower section. This is also accessible to wheelchair users.

Building entrance:
The entrance to the museum is located at number 5 in Piazza Erbe.

Here you will find stairs and two large elevators.
You can use elevator no. 1 to reach the entrance to the Virgilio Museum.

Visiting route:
Fifth floor:
The visit begins in a reception area.
Here you will find tactile reproductions of Piazza delle Erbe and the monumental complex.

There are some level changes along the way.
All are overcome thanks to ramps with an adequate slope and handrails.

The area of the ancient cells is only accessible via three steps, without a handrail.

For those who cannot access it, a virtual tour is available via QR code.

Not all exhibitors are easily accessible.
Some are too high for wheelchair users.

Some QR codes are located at an excessive height.
In these cases it is useful to frame them with the camera zoom.
There are interactive panels along the route.
Due to the height and lack of tactile elements, those with motor or visual disabilities must ask for assistance in using it.

The sixth floor can be reached by stairs or internal elevator.
To use the elevator, you must ask for assistance from the staff.
The cabin is small and measures 80 × 120 cm.

To reach the last rooms you have to climb a few steps, without a handrail.

Alternatively, staff can escort visitors to the external elevators, which provide access to the rooms from an alternative external entrance.
Toilets:
On the ground floor, there are accessible toilets (in accordance with regulations).
Additional services:
The museum offers a web app, accessible via QR code.
This offers audio descriptions of the panels and in-depth content along the tour route.
