Architect Pietro Antonio Maggi designed a dynamic fa\u00e7ade in late Baroque style. The altarpiece, depicting the Martyrdom of Saint George, was commissioned from the same Venetian painter who had also created the medallions with the Evangelists in the nave vault and two altarpieces for two side altars. The precious organ, built by the Ferrarese organ builder and still in working order, was installed in 1769. <strong>John Cavalletti<\/strong>. The balconies of the choir and the organ are very interesting. In 1829, some stucco work fell from the vault, and the decision was made to remove the stucco ornaments from the vault, replacing them in 1883 with tempera decoration. In 1863, the bell tower was erected, designed by the cultured Viadanese archpriest Don Antonio Parazzi. A recent comprehensive restoration of the exterior has restored the building&#039;s vibrant colors, which had faded over time. Today, the church of San Giorgio Martire houses the museum section &quot;The Baroque in the Casalasco-Viadanese Area.&quot;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images
