What is a Heritage Centre?
The English term heritage indicates the cultural and natural heritage in which a community identifies, inherited from the past and to be passed down to future generations.
Mantua and Sabbioneta, inscribed in 2008 as the only site on the UNESCO World Heritage List, represent a centuries-old legacy of material and immaterial goods, ideas, values and traditions, which belong to everyone and must be accessible to everyone.
The aim of this Centre is to recount the exceptional value of the two cities, united for over 500 years in the ideals of the Renaissance.
