HOW TO GET HERE

Public Transport

From the railway station (B) you can travel on APAM lines: 4T / 6 / 12 / 8 / CC. Once you reach Piazza Sordello (A), the library is roughly a 5-minute walk away.

All APAM buses are equipped with a lifting platform and there is a voice announcement service for stops on urban routes. At the moment, in order to receive adequate assistance, notification of the intention to use the service is required no later than two working days before use.

By car:

There is a large car park in Piazza Arche (marked on the map), which includes two reserved parking spaces. The car park is closed at the moment due to work on an underground extension.

There are more parking spaces in the streets around the library (marked on the map), in ZTL area. Holders of disabled badges can access by notifying in advance by filling in the on line form Prenotazione ZTL Pass Disabili or by writing to infomulte@comune.mantova.it

TERESIANA LIBRARY

Entrance to the building

The main entrance is located on Via Roberto Ardigò and has a total of six steps with no handrail.

There is a second entrance accessible from Via Dottrina Cristiana (with a small, easily surmountable step). This can be reached via a very narrow pavement on a cobbled road; for those who use mobility aids, it may be necessary to be accompanied.

Spaces inside the building

The main rooms of the library where the lending desk and the reference and study stations are located are fully accessible. There is also a workstation with a height-adjustable table.

To use the materials on display, it is necessary to request the assistance of the staff on duty.

The Teresian Rooms (historical monumental rooms of the library) can be visited with guided tours, but access is only possible via ten steps without handrails.

Toilets

The toilets are accessible by people with disabilities (as indicated by law).

Additional facilities

There are no additional facilities and there are no services to ensure the usability of the library's content by blind and visually impaired persons.
