From Mantua to Sabbioneta along the Gonzaga capitals of the Oglio Po
The area between Mantua and Sabbioneta is dotted with small capitals Gonzaga: ancient villages where the minor branches of the family settled with urban planning and artistic interventions that still today testify to the greatness of the Gonzaga family.
There Mantua-Sabbioneta cycle path It passes through these villages and connects the two cities of the UNESCO site via a flat and easy-to-follow cycle-tourist route, approximately 45 kilometers long.
Starting from Te Palace (Mantua) The route winds through the Gonzaga villages and the fascinating landscapes present between the floodplains of the Oglio and Po rivers, whose shape, history, economy and cultural identity have been shaped by water.

Departure by bike from Mantua. Return by bus from Sabbioneta with the Bike&Bus service.
Follow the route towards Sabbioneta, cross Buscoldo and continue to Torre d'Oglio, where you can stop to take a photo in front of the charming pontoon bridge. Continuing on to San Matteo delle Chiaviche take a break and visit the documentation center of the’Ecomuseum “Lands of Water between Oglio and Po”. Then continue for Message, where the horizon stands out Tower erected by Vespasiano Gonzaga. Continue through Navarolo, Villa Pasquali and finally enter Sabbioneta crossing Imperial Gate.
