Tilden's interpretation of Heritage is to help people give a sense to what they see, enter into relation personal with the places, the exhibitions, the art and the technical aspects, which thus become bearers of values and not just information.

Organization
The training course is free.
The first two introductory meetings took place on March 4 and April 15, 2024. The following meetings were scheduled: in-depth modules.
 A certificate of participation will be awarded at the end of the introductory module and for each in-depth module.

Recipients
This introductory module is aimed at anyone seeking a proven yet innovative working method, as well as an opportunity for motivation and professional growth. The course begins with a presentation of the method and then delves into how it works in various communication contexts.
The purpose The purpose of the training session is to give participants the opportunity to:
• Understand, recognize and create opportunities for intellectual and emotional discovery of the cultural and natural heritage of the UNESCO site of Mantua and Sabbioneta
• Know the principles and philosophy underlying the Heritage Interpretation method
• Understand the interpretative potential inherent in one's work and personal history

  • Interpretation of Heritage: A Definition in Progress. From Transcendentalism to Tilden's Six Principles to the Present.
  • The purpose of heritage interpretation: from facts and information to interpretation, creating a meaningful relationship. Memory and learning.
  • Interpretation is strategy, a change of perspective in the relationship between guide, Good and visitor.
  • Putting the audience at the center: understanding visitor needs and desires. From thematic communication to transformative interpretation.
  •  The steps of experience, that is, building an interpretive path, giving meaning, direction and structure to one's work with Heritage Interpretation. .
Vanessa Vaio And Cristina Locatelli StudioPAN, experts in the application of the Heritage Interpretation method, will guide us on a training course open to anyone who wishes to explore with us the possibilities of applying an approach to cultural heritage based on the creation of experiences, relationships, and values.
 

The action is financed through the project Mantua and Sabbioneta Heritage Centre: a shared space for site interpretation (Ministry of Culture, Law 77/2006 “Special measures for the protection and enjoyment of Italian sites and elements of cultural, landscape, and environmental interest, included in the “World Heritage List,” placed under the protection of UNESCO).
